Infectious disease

Infectious disease may be an unavoidable fact of life, but there are many strategies available to help us protect ourselves from infection and to treat a disease once it has developed.

Antibiotics are powerful medicines that fight bacterial infections. However, growing antibiotic resistance is curbing the effectiveness of these drugs.

The World Health Organisation (WHO) gave the definition of health in 1948.  “Health is a state of complete physical, mental and social well-being and not merely the absence of disease or infirmity”.

The WHO definition of health recognizes three dimensions of health i.e. physical, mental and social.

In 1978, another thing was included in this definition. It is the ability to lead a “Socially and economically productive life”.

It is rightly said that Health is Wealth. There are various factors which

influence health. The internal factors are basically the genetic make-up

of an individual while external factors lie in the environment to which

 he/she is exposed.

Personal health is a state of complete physical, mental and social well-being. Community health comprises of maintaining, improving and protecting the health of the entire community

But what exactly, is suffering? One patient with cancer of the stomach, from which he knew he would shortly die, said he was not suffering. Another, even coming into the hospital had been a source of pain and suffering.

birds and animals effortlessly maintain their health, a testament to the efficacy of natural mechanisms.

The body is like a well-managed factory, where each department works harmoniously under the supervision of the owner and manager.

Learning to maintain good health isn't complex; it's a matter of adhering to straightforward guidelines and principles.

Unlock the secrets to longevity and vitality, steering clear of preventable illnesses and enjoying the boundless benefits of a robust mind-body connection.

Most people do not have simple knowledge for avoiding diseases, and by very small misunderstanding, they suffer from grave diseases. Then they spend valuable money, and even then, they go on suffering. Very learned and high-class people make small mistakes. If they had even basic knowledge, they would not have suffered so much, and lots of money- time and suffering would have been saved. From very small mistakes, major diseases enter the body that produce more severe diseases.

God has endowed everybody with a coordinating mechanism known as homeostasis. Birds and animals adhere to these mechanisms, ensuring their sustained health throughout their lifetimes, succumbing only at life's end. They adeptly maintain bodily functions. In countries like Japan and China, certain tribes have achieved lifespans exceeding 100 years.

If people understand a few basic principles of health, they will have great benefits. Healthy life and healthy living. Health is wealth. To remain healthy, everyone has to follow very easy and very simple guidelines.

For healthy living, we have to follow simple rules, and that will give us a healthy life with the passion of a healthy mind and a healthy body.

'A sound mind in a sound body' is an old saying and expresses the importance of good health.

Distinctions between Healthy and Disease-free

Too often, we confuse being healthy with being disease-free. However, it is not the same thing at all! There are many differences between the two. Below, we will look at the basic differences between the two.

Diseases can be classified into various types, including:

1.    Infectious Diseases

2.    Non-Communicable Diseases (NCDs)

3.    Autoimmune Diseases

4.    Genetic Disorders

5.    Mental Disorders

Diseases arise from multiple factors and can affect different body systems. While some diseases can be permanently cured with medical advancements, others require long-term management.

A holistic approach integrating modern medicine, natural therapies, and a healthy lifestyle offers the best chance for disease prevention and permanent healing.

What is Homeostasis?

Homeostasis is the process by which living organisms maintain a stable internal environment despite external changes. It is essential for survival, as it regulates critical physiological functions like temperature, pH, water balance, and blood glucose levels.

The term homeostasis comes from the Greek words:

  • “homeo” (same)
  • “stasis” (state or stability)

This mechanism ensures that conditions inside the body remain within a narrow range, allowing cells and organs to function optimally.

The body continuously regulates internal conditions through negative and positive feedback. Disruptions in homeostasis can lead to illness.

Homeostasis vs. Allostasis

While homeostasis creates balance allostasis refers to our body's ability to foresee, adapt to, and deal with future events. Allostasis is preparing for needs and managing resources to meet those needs before they arise.

Different Medical Systems (Pathies) for Disease Treatment

There are several approaches to curing diseases, each based on different philosophies, scientific principles, and healing techniques. These medical systems, known as Pathies, aim to restore health by treating symptoms, eliminating root causes, or enhancing the body's natural healing power.
